An organic facial oil from an Aussie beauty brand is being snapped up by thousands of customers around the world with many praising the product for one specific reason.

The Vitalize Face Elixir ($69.95) from Maaemo Organic can help to prevent acne by moisturising and caring for skin with shoppers noting it ‘absorbs so beautifully’ and ‘doesn’t leave skin feeling greasy’.

The product, which has racked up hundreds of five star reviews, contains hemp seed oil, which is a powerful source of Omega 3 and Omega 6, and pomegranate and rose hip oil, combined with Vitamin E.

Beauty fans from Ireland, the UK, Canada and the US, have raved about the Elixir with one saying that it: ‘Leaves my skin beautifully hydrated and silky smooth. Love it.’

Another wrote: ‘I never knew oily skin needed oil.’

A third said: ‘My new go-to oil for sure! Leaves my skin feeling so nourished and I definitely noticed less blemishes. Would recommend!’

Although many have praised the Elixir from helping to improve their skin, it seems that the original formula may not be suitable for all skin types.

One reviewer said: ‘The product smells amazing and leaves my skin feeling hydrated. The product however does flare up my rosacea when applied directly to the skin.’

Last year Maaemo Organic released an essential oil free version of the Vitalize Face Elixir ($64.95) which may be more suitable for some sensitive skin types.

Maaemo Organic was developed by Naturopath Hillary Wilcox, 28, while she was studying for a health science degree.

She quickly realised how combinations of botanicals could be used in skincare, and noticed they were not being widely used in commercial products.

Using more natural ingredients, Hillary developed the skincare range including the Elixir as well as a cleanser, exfoliantmask and face cream. The entrepreneur has since gone on to extend the range to include an SPF 30 mineral sunscreen and eye gel.

Speaking about feedback about the Vitalize Face Elixir, Hillary told Daily Mail Australia: ‘We had such an incredible response and results with our bestselling Vitalize Face Elixir that we also released a scent-free version for ultra sensitive customers.’

‘The reason this product is so popular is because we use certified organic oils that have been used in naturopathic practices for many many years. This product sells out often’

‘The response to the new elixir was so fantastic that we had demand to release a larger size bottle. We are about to launch a 60ml version of our Elixir so that our customers can now use it to look after the skin on their body as well as their face!’
