Walmart is recalling cucumber slices sold in 34 Texas stores over concerns that they may be contaminated with salmonella.

The Marketside Fresh Cut Cucumber Slices could contain cucumbers that were sold by Arizona-based SunFed Produce that were previously recalled and associated with salmonella infections between Oct. 12 and Nov. 15, Walmart said in a recall announcement posted Wednesday to the Food and Drug Administration website.

The recall applies to products with all date codes up to Dec. 1.

Salmonella can cause fever, sometimes bloody diarrhea, stomach pains, nausea and vomiting. Around 420 people die of salmonella infections in the U.S. every year, according to the Cleveland Clinic.

Walmart advised customers to toss out the cucumber slices or return them to the store from which they purchased them.

SunFed previously announced a recall of cucumbers that were potentially contaminated with salmonella. The cucumbers were sold from Oct. 12 to Nov. 26 at stores across the U.S. and in five Canadian provinces, including at retailers like Walmart and Costco.

“As soon as we learned of this issue, we immediately acted to protect consumers,” SunFed President Craig Slate said in a statement included in the recall notice.
