A Marks and Spencer’s fan has shared the recipe for their ‘viral’ overnight oats pot, adding an extra protein punch and promising to keep your wallet fuller.
The supermarket’s coveted pots have taken social media by storm, but a fan has shown that a DIY approach can be just as tasty.
TikTok creator Jess, also known as @itsjessthomo, has shared her take on M&S’ famed Salted Caramel Overnight Oats.
While M&S’ oats pot boats 20 grams of protein, Jess ups the ante, packing her creation with collagen powder for an even mightier protein hit.
Jess’s culinary creation contains 441 calories and 34 grams of protein per portion, reports Surrey Live.
In the tutorial, Jess said: “Every time I’ve gone into Marks and Spencer’s to get these they’ve been sold out, which is why it’s taken me so long, but we’re gonna do our own version and then we never have to worry about it again.”
Upon the morning verdict, Jess affirms: “The oats are done and as you can see my version is almost identical in terms of colour and look as the Marks and Spencer’s one… Actually think mine is better.”
In the comments section, Evie wrote: “Hallelujah my fyp is finally ALIGNED TO WHAT I WANT TO SEE.”
Flora added: “Omg you’re a saviour!! Any chance you could try the apple ones.”
A different user hailed the recipe’s inclusion of dates, declaring, “Love using the dates,” and Jessica said, “This looks sooo good! Cannot wait to try, thank you.”
